220 v8 torque animal?

i would be interested in hearing from anyboby that has a 220kw 8. do they still have the bonnet bulge?
do they have more torque than the boss down low?
is fuel economy better thant6 and boss?
do they have the same drive line as the GT?

The 220 does not have the bulge nor the driveline of the GT
No idea on the torque curve but I suspect it is less as they are fitted with T5 g/boxes.

The 220's run the same box as the XR8 and GT

SOHC V8 has more torque down low compared to the Boss260 thanks to the VCT.

Barra240T has a greater average torque than all of Fords BA motors.

The Boss donks are bitsa motors, 5.4 block and 4.6 DOHC heads from the shelfs of Ford USA.
Ford Aus wouldn't be able to justifiy building a DOHC VCT head for the trick 8's

Our BA V8 Ghia pulls pretty hard down low. Loves 2nd when your using the Sports Shift. Drive it pretty hard, avg. fuel consumption as reported by the trip computer sits on 15.3L/100k

Don't the 220's have 475nm of torque, and if so why is the turbo rated to 450 only?? or do I have my numbers wrong

From my personal experience the tourque is not bad down low, its a little better the a Holden VX 5.7.
