351 Windsor into AU? - Ford Forums

G'Day all, just wondering if the 351 HO EFI engine can be swapped in to an AU Falcon? Clearing the hood is my concern, but are there others problems?

mate can be done seen it look little advice say mods needed. talk to hilliers at tenterfield nsw give them a ring they will tell u any info u need they built the au coupe arrow. ive delt with them heaps great guys

there was a guy in the nsw xr club (i think) that did this

dont think it cleared the bonnet though because he had a special bulge thing attached, and a hole cut through the metal

car sounded awesome, and went pretty hard too - ill see if i can find some pics

A user by the name of "The Doctor" was putting a 351 into an AU. I think he called it The Pig from memory. Do a search and see what comes up.

Surely it's only a worthwhile conversion if you're going to stroke it for 380+ci, otherwise why not just use a 347? As well as the height it will be a bit wider.

look unsure fully why u want to do it i guess for the power, but a lot of messin around and money, just supercharge ya au with the motor in it get it over and done with that way lol

get it to 380ci then supercharge it.
