Well I dunno how many of you have gotten a chance to see the new Motor magazine yet, but they're saying that the series II XRs are gonna get a six-speed manual!!!!! Nice one. Apparently it WON'T be the same clunky terror as the Commodores get either, though I'd like to see similar gearing. Journos tend to do nothing but whinge about the Commodores sixth-gear, but I think it's a great idea. My Uncle owns a manual VX SS & through the first five gears it's a great car to drive. But then he take it out on the highway & selects top gear at a comfortable crusing speed & gets nearly 30mpg on a trip. And that is NOT B.S. guys. That's what the sixth gear is there for!!! Anyway, what does everyone think about this news?

Havent heard of a 6 speed manual but head of a 6 speed auto comming to ford . but iv also read that holden have a 6 speed auto coming soon too though.

as long the current auto is GT is out doing The new 285kw auto cluby
