Welcome to the forums!

Check out www.capa.com.au they seem to have the most information.

45,000km service coming up - and i'll be asking for a sizable list of fixes:
* Gearbox (3rd time)
* Steering click (5th time)
* Brake Shudder (2nd time, and has the applied "Fix")
* etc...

Re: advice for supercharging BA XR8

I have been told a decent setup on a BA xr8/GT will set you back 10+ grand, personally i'd buy a whipple ($3990us) or kenny bell twin screw from the states and have a custom intake fabbed up and run it. May take a while to get it set up due to sorting out little bits and peices but it'll be a monster once its done as both blowers can run 25+lb's and are street blowers not race ones.

Pick your improvements and you can do a lot better than a supercharger for less dollars.

Re: advice for supercharging BA XR8

Please dont flame me as this is only a suggestion but APS are developing a Twin turbo system for the Boss engine and are aiming for 400+rwkw and trying to get it in at around $12,ooo fitted and tuned. Those numbers are only best guess at this stage but they are from the owner of APS so i think they's be pretty close. How much money are you considering spending on the setup, thats the biggest factor. Also what do you have in mind just more poke round the streets or big Hp and low time slips.

Yeah, chat to Damian at DPC performance campbellfield 03 9308 8253 before you waste a big pile of green bills elsewhere.

XRQTOR has a great point - the TT Boss will be a real winner.

Yes it maybe the bees knees in the future I am sure but it is just an idea / prototype / forums discussion point at this stage

Back in the real world thats here now and the question asked.....

BJL,
The first thing I would do is put on a decent exhaust (full system) then If I was going to keep the vehicle I would invest the extra dollars in an intercooler type kit. This would allow you to increase the boost when you get use to the power and cooler air + more power and less chance of pinging. Most places will say you dont need an intercooler to get a sale but how many factory turbos / superchargers come out with out some form of intercooling? Then I would get an custom edit type tune (from who ever!) or run an very high end piggy back. If running more than 8psi I would upgrade the injectors. And get it tuned on standard unleaded for realibility not always max power! Spending this type of $$$$ isnt for everyone but once you learn how to drive at 90 degrees you better invest in a wet type vax for the passenger seat!!!!!
and dont forget about the $$$ for tyres
Hope this helps
