Ok what i can say as i looked for one of these before i got mine is that the V8's in the Ghia put out 175kw. Generally i would say the engine is bullet proof as it is about 50kw from it's maximum factory streetable tune. Having said that with a maximum power producting at 4600rpm the band is very short.
165,000km on a V8 is typical for these cars as people keep V8's for the long haul and theres no reason why you can't do another 300,000km. I would take the car for a drive and listen/feel how the transmission is working. Should be smooth and go into every gate smoothly without a jerk. Bare in mind that with the km's if the trans has been neglected, you could be up for big $$$ for servicing. Thats the only problem i can think of at worst.
