Looking in the telegraph this morning, and there's a dealership letting VY Commode's go for 27648, with air con, 3 years free service, 3 years roadside, 3 years rego and CTP...

and later on there's a Ford dealer with a second hand VY, stating "Take advantage of Holden's depreciation"

..and they've only been out 6 months :)

3 years rego and CTP? Thats a sweet deal. Holden are just trying to keep sales momentum until the VE arrives, then we'll see what the BA is made of.

Holden can afford at this point to almost give the cars away, Ford can not and I for one are pleased about it. Ford dealers here in Adelaide are doing some aggressive sales promotions to counter act Commy sales, however they our focusing on adding value, rather than discounting.

A better strategy for any business none the less.

I think in the long run promoting holding value will be better than selling off a lot now and making quick bucks in the process.
People will get good deals on VY's now but they will die in the ring when they try to trade it down the track.

I think Uncle Geoff with his knowledge of the car game is doing a smart move on BA's. They may be more expensive, but overall value will hold pretty good in comparison to other cars
