Does anyone know when airbags became optional on e-series falcons? I'm pretty sure EF, but where EBII or ED available with them?
Please tell me they weren't an option on EBII Fairmonts! I don't remember if dads car had one or not!

yup, drivers airbag standard for all EF models both Series I and II. Series II - passenger airbags became an option across the range (extra $900 or so i think), and standard equip on fairmonts and fairlanes - could be more models, not sure.
I thought that was the case. I remember something about the EF being the first australian car to come with standard drivers airbag, or something.
Thanks people :)

The VR was the first Aussie car to come with a drivers side airbag back in 1993
