Hi Guys, which series' of Falcons use an Aluminuim driveshaft? What size universals do they use? How long are they?
Thought this might be a cheap way to get an alloy driveshaft under my XY...

All E-Series Wagons and LWB used Alloy and all AU's not sure about any others though.

Not sure on universals or length though.

All the 5.0L E-series had them i think and they are weak as piss, not worth the money if your running some power (ive bent 2 and mine have been wraped in 4mm of carbon fibure) and i think the uni's are the same as the ones they use in the 6cly

Are the A series or B series any better? Want to strap one up behind what will become a fairly healthy Clevo (400+hp)
Oh yeah, who wrapped the shaft? what was the fiber orientations? cos that makes a *big* difference...

no idea on the fiber orientations, its stock in an EL GT shaft.

Are the A series or B series any better?
from what im told they are all the same but are 3 different lengths.

I know that the stock alloy shaft in my wifes EB XR8 is the same with uni's etc as the one in the EL GT less the carbon fiber.

I've got an EL 5L Fairmont and the tailshaft in that is definately not alloy, the healthy coat of rust tells me that.

That seems a bit odd, I have had 2 xr8's and a 5.0l fairmont ghia and they all had alloy tailshafts.
