Re: Alot Tougher Than The Colour Suggests!

How long did it take to pollish the inlet manafold?
How did you remove the surface texture, im looking to do this to mine.

Also. Is that still an EA Head under the EF/L rocker cover? I was under the impression the EF rocker cover was slightly longer and was prone to leaking out the front if used on EA heads.

Very nice car dude. Unusual colours are always the best, hence why i like my Mint Green Metallic.

Manifold took about 2 days for a few hours each day, it was quite shinny to start with off an eb it was, i started with like 600 grit wet n dry and worked my way up, then polished with autosol. Leads are 8.8 mm topgun with spacers. El/Ef rocker cover does fit perfectly everywhere except the halfmoon on the front, put seeing i had spent time paintin it i wasnt goin to ditch it, so i just use a fair bit of gasket sealer on the half moon and does not leak. Just a case of looks over practicality i guess, manifold looks nice with extractors on the other side and thermos finish it off. I realy want to relocate the battery and reserve tank like in the eb/ed but the support brackets are welded to the engine bay, has anyone done this?

That car looks good, very clean lines. The engine bay is good as well, a bit of polish works magic.

cheers

Re: Alot Tougher Than The Colour Suggests!

What a nice looking baby blue EA! That's the best looking one I've seen. You've really done a bit to make it look good. Top job Matador.

The engine bay is horn as too.

Any issues with the MPI?
