There was an Apollo V6 - the difference was that in those days, Toyota made a big deal of using the 'Vienta' badge (Spanish for 'wind'... implying whisper quiet, etc - which is true in this case) to distinguish the V6 models, whereas in later years only the upmarket V6 models were called Vienta.
As for the Astra, I have a quoted figure from Wheels of 11 seconds 0-100. Quite reasonable for a car of its type, but I think even my car would be significantly faster.
