Had a service undertaken today to sort a few issues out, like a broken handbrake and coolent leak. Get the car back at 4 this arvo, get on the M1 to go home and car starts Viabrating badly in the rear at 100 kms an hour. It was terrible, so bad that I took it back to the dealer. They laughed at me, so i told them to get in the bloody thing and go for a joy ride. Get back on the Highway, does nothing till i get to about 100 then it just starts VIABRATING its arse off - in the rear.

Neways they cant work out what it is, so the car has been left with them.

Has anyone had this issue before and know what causes it, something they have done today has caused it to do it.

All they did was the 30 grand service, fixed the hand brake, fixed a coolent leak and that was about it. Maybe a wheel alignment to but im not sure. Its a bit of a worry....

It could be related to the parkbrake adjustment, if the rotor is removed & refitted in a different position the rubber cap in the adjuster hole won't sit flush which stops the wheel from sitting evenly against the rotor. I have heard that this can cause a vibration.

Pehaps they lost a couple of counter weights on one of the back wheels. That can make a fair sort of a vibration

Was a heavy viabration, was viabrating the back seat pretty bad....

I will bet you money it's simpler than that even - I reckon they forgot to tighten your wheel nuts properly.

I had this happen to me when I was visiting friends overnight once - someone tried to steal the 17's off the car and got interrupted, so the nuts were on but loose. Car drove fine till it hit about 90, then the most awful vibration in history started.

If it's something they fix straight away, I'll bet money that was the cause...

Yes, they most likely acted like they didn't know what was wrong so they wouldn't look like idiots and you wouldn't consider going off your block due to the potenial danger they may have put you in.

Anyway the issue is hardly your BA going shithouse, don't you think?
