got a call from a mate today, telling me bout another car.... i wish my mates would stop doing that lol.
anyways, XC GXL, factory 351 C4 and 9" discbrake LSD, all running gear in good working order, average body, all options, electric windows etc etc....
for the huge sum of $500 !!!
off to have a look on thursday. if all goes well, the plan is to use it for work for a couple of weeks while i fit the AU engine in the EB, then strip the running gear from the XC for my coupe, and sell off whats left. oh, i'm selling a bunch of parts (xc 9", 351 in pieces, complete 302, good c4, and other stuff) to help pay for the XC and some other gear. so any of you SA guys interested pm me, everythings going cheap! its all in the various for sale threads.

i'll let you all know how i go with the XC.

ive arranged to have a look tomorrow. its a 2 and a half hour drive north...
this is what he told me over the phone:
xc gxl, gxl bonnet with pins (xb gs?), electric windows in excellent working order, very tidy interior, all rust removed, including doors, engine was removed and the engine bay sprayed 2 pak black, engine sprayed candy apple red(???), engine dropped in but not bolted up, air-con still connected and in perfect working order, power steering.
the engine (351) was re-coed 3000k's ago, with high volume oil pump, flat-top pistons, and a mild cam. and an alloy inlet manifold, hes not sure what it is though.
so the whole thing sounds better than i thought.... i guess i'll see tomorrow!
