UTEXR8

Hi there,
About to pick up one of the last runout XR8 utes(Mk1) tomorrow(wed).
Has anyone heard about any probs with the auto in this car, or anything else that may be of interest? My last V8 was a dead straight XE351 4spd, and I've been off Fords for a while, but can't go past the looks of the BAXR8, so I bought one. Also wondering what sort of money you would expect to pay for decent exhaust.
Also, if anyone knows somewhere I can get some decent looking floormats(Sydney or online) let me know. I know I'm being a tightarse but I can't bring myself to spend $100 on 2 bloody genuine floormats that don't really look that good.

I had an issue with the power steering pump.. it made far too much noise (got it fixed under warranty) and the engine clatters when I start it 1/2 the time (trying to get it fixed) but as far as ute specific issues go the only one I had was rather trivial where a 2 cent part in the tail gate latch mechanism broke off meaning I couldn't open the gate unless I used a screwdriver.. but I took the liner off the gate and put it all back together without the plastic and she works fine now. (told you it was trivial)

I can't help you re mods cooz I haven't done any, but I'm sure others will assist you in that regard.

You can get XR floor mats from ford for around $60-70, they fit straight in.
Have fun with it, they are top cars :D
