RAR347, aka Nick the madman got a bit upset when I called him a soft appendage for not beating my 13.2 second run in my AU2 Herrod XR8 (he's the guy that bought the car). My run was complete with jack, spare wheel, and a full tank of fuel so it wasn't too bad.

So, I guess the challenge was there for him to do something about it.

Didn't take long: try 12.63 at 117.4mph albeit with dropped pipes.

Not bad for a street Windsor in a fully optioned XR8 including Sunroof eh?

The terminal speed shows good promise and Nick assures me he's still running the Unichip with a Motec/Haltech on the way.

He ditched my small cam and then proceeded to replace the only bit Ford Australia had left in the engine bay - the block. It's an improved engine from the spec I created but essentially I was after good midrange and he's sacrificed that a little by going for an extended the top end power band.

jeez thats a good time, the AU's may not be handsome to some but they really do well with some mods under the belt

what was done to it pete, cams, stroker, other usual stuff- cai, zorst, t/b etc?

347 stroker, trickflow cam (which has definitely changed), trickflow track heat heads, trickflow track heat intake, rollers, stud girdle, big sump, 10.2:1 comp approx, T3 82mm throttle body, T3 intake and air box, herrod headers and custom twin 2.5 inch exhaust, unichip. I think a few things have changed from that but it's much the same as the ideas above.
