Question AU/BA Sun Visors

Does anyone else have the problem of the sun visors getting in the way of sight?

I sit tall in the seat and the when the sun visor is down it blocks my complete vision.

lower the seat adjuster so the base is low to the floor.. i have a 6ft 6 driver that sits UPRIGHT in the chair, like he is at church, and he never mentions not beong able to see with it down..

Re: AU/BA Sun Visors

Some of us have complained about this for some time but Ford makes their cars for shorter people to 'see the bonnet'. I simply can't use my sun visors even with the seat fully lowered.

Nah, mine are a pain. I'm only 6ft but I cant use them. Then again, I sit very close to the steering wheel too so I'm further forward than most.

Re: AU/BA Sun Visors

Exactly. Even for tall people that have their seats adjusted all the way down the visors are too low for the roof line.

maybe for the next model after BA MKII Ford may do something for the taller population who love these cars but want to keep the sun out of their eyes.

Re: AU/BA Sun Visors

never had a problem with it myself. they were just right for me. the big problem i did have with them was when they were covering the side window they would knock and hit the plastic which got very annoying.
as for catering to tall people they work on a national average of height and id hate to say it but there is more average size people than there are tall people.
like shoes....sizes 8-10 are about average so there is alot more in more shops. now go try and find a pair of size 14 shoes and see how hard that is...theyre not average size thats why.

I'd say its a problem that can't be fixed until a new body shell where the a-pillar angle is changed, a hang over from AU...this is one area where the Territory is so much better.
