Well, I took some time out of studying for my trials today to play with my car.

After a breif trip to Power Ford, I picked up an XR8 220kw Intake Snorkel


On the right, the XR8 Snorkel, on the left, the standard.


Nice piece of 76mm pipe to link the airbox to the piece of intake pipe (80mm) I got off the EL.

Cost
EF Airbox Lid $40
EL Intake Tube $10 (pick'n'paymore)
Piece of metal pipe $5 from an exhaust place
XR8 220kw intake snorkel $39 from Power Ford
Redline Intake Filter $100 normally, I got it slightly discounted

Power gains? You can definately notice it, and the car sounds a lot better too.

Using the dodgy stopwatch method, I just did 0-100 on 8.09

:( I know, but the car has to be able to be returned to stock if need be.

(at the moment anyway )

I'd consider doing the BA piping though
