Hi All

I've noticed a fairly significant problem with my AU3 which I bought recently and has < 20,000km on the clock.

When in low-speed situations, eg. parking the car, the power steering performs very badly. At most points during the turn the steering is fine, but it reaches points where it starts to shudder and feels very heavy like power assistance is being lost. It doesn't groan like you would expect with most power steering problems though.

Is this a known problem? I'm going to take it in under warranty after xmas.

1st of heard of it on the forums here, and after owning 2 AU's havenet experienced this problem myself

Is the fluid level ok

Are the belts on Tight

Have you checked the steering rack as the gaskets can brake and you may have crap in it

I get that shudder too, it's mostly friction between the tyres and the surface of the road.
