Hey guys,

Just thought I'd ask you guys opinion on this. I tested the 0-100 time of my AU the other night and from dodgy measurement with a stop watch I got an average of 7.5 seconds. Apparently about 9 odd seconds is the stock time. From the mods listed in my sig, is this a good, average or bad time? The car is at the diff place now, getting a 3.45LSD centre put in. That time was with a 3.08 SS.

I have a movie of it if anyone wants to have a squiz/time it, but I need someone to host it for me or tell me how to reduce the size of the file. It's about 8.5meg and I only get 5 meg with my ISP.

its not a 7.5s, but my car is not as new as yours. I am also stuck with 205 Monza tyres on the back with a 3.08 open wheeler. I first tried a hard launch but got too much wheel spin (i might post that one to).

BTW - the movie is 1MB and is a divx

Its a 5 speed. There is another video I posted of my first attempt at a harder launch. The link is here.

It aint a stocker. Ive done all the usual mods - and rebuilt the engine 5000k's ago with a balanced bottom end and used a lot of good quality parts but the bottom end is still to stock specs. Up top I put larger valves on the exhaust side, but the AU's have the larger valves anyway as well as thinner valve stems.

I too need to get myself a 3.45 diff. I would be Very interested in another video after the diff if you can manage it. The problem I have is that I can only just get to 100 in second and if I go a 3.45 i will have to make another gear change.

My car is a Gli and I have just installed the fairmont dash. Being a gli it does not have a coolant level sensor and I havent got around to installing one yet.

Everyone who gets in the car asks me the same question - can get very frustrating so Im going to fix it soon.
