Considering a series 2 TS50 ($75,000 worth new) is regarded by the dealers as being worth $26,000 max. I think the XR8 is too much, check out car sales dot com and have a look at all the XR8's there, they can't get rid of them. Which means you will get one for a good price. You'll easily knock them down with that price.
Nothing above 30k, IMO.

Exactly right! it all to easy to say the price is about right but its not really when u think about it... i seen a AU2 TE50 advertised for 23k... now thats cheap!!!

Now come on, just because you've seen some T serries for very low prices doesn't mean all the vehicle's below them should be a lesser value, dealer's will command a higher price obviously because their in it to make money, but just because someone seen a T-serries for 23k, there's no way I'd sell my AU II XR8 for anything less than that, some vehicle's are kept better than other's and I for one wouldn't mind paying a higher value for a vehicle with good history, so I'll end in saying around 30k for this vehicle sound's allright.

Sounds too cheap for me,must be something wrong ,saw a T2 TE 50 for sale at Wignell Ford in Mornington was asking around the $40,000 and i thought it was in bad condition, but then im a fussy person.
Cheers John

One ad was located at Knox ford in vic, an ex-demo with 30,000kms.
Appeared to be in pretty good condition, but the dealer wont budge on the price.
The second one was at City-Ford in vic, 39000kms, pretty good condition. The dealer said he had it advertised for $34,000 and had dropped the price to $32,000. He wouldn't budge on price either.
The AU XR8's are lovely cars, but they aren't worth that much now surely, especially when the BA's are sooo much better.

Still i know what ive seen and that was the price... and yes i know your a fussy bugger john
Im not saying AU3 XR8's should be cheaper... in fact theyve got the 220 motor so they should comand higher prices, i just think with the BA's out on the market and a AU3 being a few years old now they shouldnt fetch really higher prices... if it really is a good example then fair enough but still

The AUIII XR8 is a fair better car than the BA XR8 in many peoples opinion, tickford finally got everything right. Btw try and find a series 3 xr8 for under 30! and comparing it to a S2 TS50 is stupid, there two different cars, plus most people dont even know what the hell they are.
