Auto lights & auto dip mirror no work on BA Ghia - Ford Forums - Mustang Forum, Ford Trucks, Ford Focus and Ford Cars

Hi all,

I am interested to hear if anyone else has struck the following problem....

I have a 02/2004 model BA Ghia which is now back for its third visit with a Ford dealer for the same warranty repair - the auto light function and auto dip mirror functionality have both stopped working. The BEM module has been replaced twice now in the last 4 weeks, and the problem still prevails.

I have been told by the dealer that the diagnostics were showing that the problem was the BEM, but now that it has been replaced twice, this does not seem to be the case!

They are currently tracing through the wiring circuits to see if they can find the problem. The Ghia has now been there for 2 days and problem still not found. Very frustrating!

Any ideas would be much appreciated ?!

I have a similar problem. When I click the unlock the mirrors dip but never return to the correct positon when I go into drive (D).

The auto headlight function works.
