G'day all ...

Has anyone on the forum had any issues with speedo errors (indicated is 10km/h faster than actually travelling).

I have changed speedo drives from a 23 teeth cog back to a 21 tooth cog and the problem has gotten worse.... (now reading approx 118km/h at an actual 100km/h).

The wheels that are on the car are 235/45/17's in place of the 225/50/16's. The guy at the ford spare parts place was confused as to why there would be an error when the larger tyres are an option for it.

Anyway a few questions for the forum...

1. Can this speedo be electronically re calibrated... (as the speedo drive cog is the largest one ford have available)

2. Would the transducer that sends the signal to the speedo be cactus (although it still gives a reading which is smooth and doesn't jerk or jump around)

3. Is there anything else I can check to see if there is a problem?

I know the BA is all electronic and is adjusted by computer
