biggrin BA 182 KW Engine tune

Just a quick one.Thinking of buying the 1 tonner BA Cab chasis in 5spd man Is there a tune like the LS1edit available yet or are people waiting for them to crack the managment software. I know it took some time before the software was cracked on the LS1 or somebody copied HSV version ?

Any help would be appreciated I know it's only early day's but somebody out there is working on it ?

200kw out of the stock six should be achievable ! with the right tune and CAI mods

200kw is achiveable out of a six.. Exaust and intake mods should get it there easy, hell xr6t exaust should get you there..

The ecu hasn't been cracked as of yet... it will be a while yet..

And for the naturally asperated 4.0 I don't think it really needs it..

Question

It has been "discussed" that the if the injectors are replaced with the units from the AUIII that the gain is somewhere around 10kw. NOTE: I don't know anyone that has tried it, but it has been suggested several times by different Ford employees/dealerships. But hey, if it works the injectors wouldn't cost more than $100 from a wrecker.

$100 = 10KW

BARGAIN!!!!!

The injectors on the BA are higher flow than the AU111 ones and are identical to the AU V8 ones.

The OEM ECU doesnt need to be 'cracked' as such. The ZOOM magazine ute (with 270Kw at the treads) runs a piggy back ECU. Works in tandem with the original unit. Yes its a XR6 Turbo but the same principles apply.

*i believe the above info to be correct, i'm sure if it isnt though, some will correct me :)*
