Hi, i'm looking at a 2004 Ford Fairmont with 55,000 kms on the clock. i took it for a test drive, handled great!

My question is is there anything i should be looking out for? anything a bit dodgy on this series i should watch for?

check if the gears are shifting right if they are you should be alright

cluk when noise at diff brakes disc distorted at 80 km/h press the brake if you get a vibration problem not major

Brake shudder is a common problem. The front rotors need skimming quite commonly at about that milage. Mkae sure it brakes well and smoothly. It's not an expensive fix anyway.

Thanks, i'll remember that. while i'm asking, what size headlights do they use? i know they have H4s for hilo beams but what about the hi beam globes? i'm getting some xeon lights for it
