BA 4-WD sedan!

I was looking trough the Wanneroo(Perth) Community Times (23/09) and came acros an article regarding the Territory's Suspension and chassis setup. It further mentioned where this had been tested, and as you can see in the picture, Germany/Sweden.

Im not critisizing the Community times, but they labeled this photo attached to be the all new territory. Obviously Ford is just testing the Territory's suspension and chassis on a BA falcon, but imagine the possibility of an AWD BA falcon!

Re: BA 4-WD sedan!

wish it were true. An AWD GT would be awesome. Yes the weight would be a big issue but the increase in traction would allow a large increase in power.
Was this pic taken before official territory release pics or even before the release of the BA because i'm wondering what the need of the car bra is for.

I just scanned the immage from the paper, im assuming that the picture is taken from a car magazine photographer or someone similar to that. As for the car bra, i suppose its just like any car before it's released, just to disguise it. The comment about an AWD GT would be awesome, yeh but weight would be a problem, correctly modified it wold be a great rival the the AWD WRX and any other japanese AWD import, maybe the AWD magna and commodore too.

Re: BA 4-WD sedan!

Do you think the wheelbase of the Territory is the same as the Falcon?

Re: BA 4-WD sedan!

I've tried, but I can't make out any driveshafts/CV joints, or whether the Virtual King Pin is there. I would have thought I'd see a CV at least.

As for tha car bra - Mate, it's cold in those countries. You got to keep your baby warm ;-}
