BA adjustable pedals

What do thse do? Why are they needed?

Maximises driver comfort and short people don't have to kiss the steering wheel everytime they drive and for tall people who don't want bruised shins.

It's the newfangled cruise control. You hold your foot still, and the pedals automatically depresses itself against your foot to accelerate or brake the car.

Either that or it's so shorter drivers don't have to sit right up against the steering wheel.
