Does anyone have an alarm fitted to their BA and are they happy with it or not (geniune ford part).

Any more info, cost, what does it actually do. Is it factory fitted only or can a dealer fit it. They cant be knocked off without the key can they.

Hi FPV TURBO. I have one and its annoying. Most of the time when you enable it by pressing the button, it doesnt activate properly, and if you leave it, it will go off. I have to stand behind the car while activating it to make sure that both sets of indictors flash - and if they dont, then turn it off and try again. And no, the doors and windows are all closed... I thought of that quite early on....

I dont even have it activated while its at home, wakes the neighbours up.

Cost is about $250, thats only as of the last few weeks as Ford has had a huge price drop on these!! Unsure of reason why...

It integrates with the current setup and alerts if you if anyone interfers with the doors, boot or bonnet.

What do u mean XR Chic, it thought it was integrated so it came on when you locked the car with the original Ford Keypad...

Are you sure yours is geniune and not some aftermarket one?

Yes, it sure is genuine, and yes it is integrated with the orginal Ford keypad. What I meant was that when I go to lock it (and therefore activate the alarm) using the Ford keypad, it does what I said......

i have a mate and he doesnt have any issues with his, maybe u need to get yours checked out xr chic!

I have heard of problems associated with the boot release, eg. u would have to unlock car before opening boot or else alarm would go off!
