BA Back to EL

Well, it looks like I am finally trading BACK to an EL.

I love the BA XR6, but it is costing far too much in repayments, so I have decided to trade it in on a stock EL GLi White.

At least now I *might* be able to save some cash.

Has anyone got any pics of how an White EL will look with some nice wheels etc. ?

I have brought a good stereo for it, Axis headunit, sub, front & rear speakers and 2 ch amp for about $580 brand new,

sad news, hope it works out, but ask the question are u really going to save some money or r u looking for more expendable cash. Sometimes having to make payments is a form of saving, just think, at the end of 3 years from now u will own a ba! or u might have saved some cash and will have a old EL worth what?

Just some thoughts

Cheers

Re: BA Back to EL

Unfortunatley the BA is through my business, and it has a residual of $15k, so regardless of paying over $800 p/m for it, in 4 years time I will still need to fork out $15k to keep the thing.

I would like an EL XR, but once again, I guess it comes down to price, the XR's are still quite pricey.
And insurance would be too.

Does anyone know what a EL XR6 might be worth? they are still fetching $18-20k here..

hi jaytyn, hope you have a good accountant because you say your are in business, looks to me like not a very clever decision your repayments should be tax detectable. if the business cant afford the car, the accountant should have told you not to buy the car..sack your accountant....

Re: BA Back to EL

Selling one car to save money, then buying a stereo and wheels for another car.... seems to defeat the purpose of saving money!!

Re: BA Back to EL

If you can't afford an EL XR then at least get the Futura, perhaps even a Fairmont. The GLi didn't come with ABS and it's the one and only thing I regret about buying my GLi all those years ago.

Bit more complicated than that :)

A former business "associate" decided to rip me off big time. I am unfortunatley paying for it now, I had to borrow some money from the bank, which repayments where originally destined for the car.
