Well maybe some cops are being naughty and tweaking their everyday cars. Coz this dyno graph was showing 145Kws at da wheels for an Ef thats quite a bit. Now as far as ex-cops. chips can be put it and taken out so I guess when they sell them to the public they take out the chips or whatever. Now unmarked cars some not all came with bigger engines. I just recently saw an AU3 XR8 with 270 Kws. Now I believe thats the special edition from Herrod. Some even came with 300 Kws. Believe it or not i saw it with my own eyes. Also ive seen Wrxs which im sure some of you guys have seen around but they are Autos. I dont know what kind of mods are done to them. There are also Saab turbos going around but thats a marked car. So maybe VICTORIA is the PLACE TO BE to own an Ex-cop car or maybe even be a cop! :)
Oh by the way to all you guys who think im full of s%#t. Im not starting up anything but Im just writing what i saw with my own eyes and the last time i went to the optician he told me i didnt need any glasses!

Well of course, most blokes are out there driving normal cars that go to 10 but Police packs go to 11, that's one louder.

lol, sorry mate but I seriously think people have been feeding you shit, I owned a ED X chaser complete with opt 22 or 25 or whatever it was on the Comp plate and just from the top of my head options were:

Two horns
Heavy duty alt
Full dash display (with tacho and oil pressure etc)
no remote fuel filler button
map lights in the rear
complete central int light (with map reading lights)
lowered suspension
no speed limiter
could pull the auto back into 2nd with depressing the button
NO lsd
oil cooler
NO ABS
brighter wattage globes
extra little lines on the speedo.

So no NOS, no Blowers, no stroker engine and no tooth fairy under the back seat

Perhaps I got a dud

Similar story with the AU XL utes that the VIC police use for the paddy wagons as well as

Bucket seats
No centre seat/no centre console
column auto
2 horns
1 tonne suspension
cruise control
passenger airbag

ahhh, 1994 ED old as the hills, your mighty modern EF new?

So what did I forget?

The big fuel pumps?
The cams?
The special chips?

They are just a modified Taxi pack.

You have no idea what you are talking about

I owned this car in 1995 and brought it from auction!

COP CARS ARE NOT SPECIAL!!! learn to live with it!

Take it from one who knows , as far as Vic goes Police cars are basically stock. No chips and speed limited as far as Ford goes. They are actually slower (and noisier) because of the drag created by the lights and sirens.

Every Police force has there own set up so other states may be different.

I don't think the police could afford the liability hassles if they modified their cars and had a fatal prang.

145 RwKw froma standard 6 cyl?? I'd like to see that.

You aren't really listening to anyone... perhaps I can be more specific
THE CARS THAT THE VIC POLICE USE ARE STANDARD POLICE PACKS WHICH INCLUDE *STANDARD* MOTORS.

That is fact, what you are saying is fiction. I personally have had EF-AU police cars at the limiter at about 180 ... This is fact..this is personal experience in real police cars.

end of story

Well like ive said before thats what I saw with my own eyes. yes 145RWKW. By the way i have 153 RWKW at the wheels in my ed so yeah you can get that with a couple of mods. Look all I know is that some cop stations have better cars than others. If really wanted to get serious i would get the dyno graphs and scan them, also i would take pics of the cars that some cop stations have down here in Vic. Have you guys even heard of the Saab cop car. Another thing Cops are not allowed to go over a certain speed so I doubt you would have clocked 180 in your car mate. So I think your full of shit.
