I have DEC 03 build XT "sports kit" (same as S.R)

It has the flush lid cover for the cup holders.
I sat in a real SR today, saw it had no lid.

So what model or cut off date is the cover on?

DO ANY cars have the cover now, or just not on XTs? Which still models get it and when did they stop fitting them. I like the cover, makes a handy hidey-hole for sunnies etc.

It was deleted from the XT as a running change early in 04 I believe...

My XT is a late May build & I have the cover, so I figure it's only just been changed. I did hear it was going to happen though.

I have a DEC 03 build XT "sports kit" (same as S.R) as well and yes ive got the drink holder lid. I agree it does make a nice hidey hole :)

Hey Wogboy! Your car is identical to mine, even same colour and build date, and tinted glass and scuff inserts.
(except I have factory/dealer towbar and rear fast glass..you got aftermarket audio)

I think i have just found a new friend lol. Id have to say i also admire your taste in cars lol

keep up the good work dude. Im very happy with my car but slighty annoyed how the sr came out just after i bought my xt, but hey thats life you move on. Although i wouldnt mind the interior and the stacker

my xt is june 04 build and no cup holder covers.. so obviously they started getting rid of it in june... They removed it as the found it to be a design error after feedback from customers. as when it was open it was in way of the gear stick....

They have also enhanced the cupholder so it holds more variety of cup sizes.
