Quite a bit of water coming from somewhere, driver side carpet soaked and cant see where it could be coming from. It hasn't rained recently.

Any suggestions where to start?

It will be the air conditioner drain. It is probably blocked or perhaps broken. Check underneath the car on the passenger side for a hose that drains the a/c. It is only condensation from the a/c but if you can find it then you may need to poke something carefully up the tube to check if it is clear.

If it is not the A/C, is there a new smell in the car ... coolant ? - if so it will be the heater core

Good point..you better check your coolant level to see if it is dropping. If coolant is disappearing then that may be your problem right there.

Is it a manual or auto?
