It looks exactly the same on the front, except it has a grill ike the AU3 Forte. As for the rear it has the same tailights, except it has a boot garnish that covers the whole back of the boot like a WH2 Statesman. It looks to have the same roof to the AU Fairlane range, but id say that it has been modified. As for the interior it is basically a Fairmont Ghia with more leg room.
I dont think it will have anymore extras, but it will be just basically an extended Fairmont Ghia.
If you like the SWB BA but want a more grandaddy-type falcon then the LWB is the go. I don't think the LWB falcons are exciting as the SWB. That's just my opinion from what I've seen.
southside ford here in brissy had two about a week ago they were there for one night. they were covered and then padlocked down so no one could sneek a peak they were there for a day or two. maybe theyre here for the brissie motorshow
In the current Herald Sun Cars Guide there is a masked BA Fairlane (very middle, open spread bit)
The front seems to be incorporating the new headlight scheme, but apart from that I can't tell much more. From a previous pic I have seen the rear is less square with different brake lights to the current - more BA Falcon like. So as with most thinking I think it will be pretty similar to a stretched Falcon
Also from what I've read here on Fordforums Ford are apparently pulling out all stops for every bit of luxury and gadgetry in the new LWB BAs...should be good
The interiors are very much like Fairmont Ghia, but with more 'plush' seats and chromed gear knobs etc. It basically looks like an AU LWB with BA Falcon front and rear. Grille is like a chromed AUIII forte grille.
Is it just the Fairlane Ghia and the LTD returning? With the plain Fairlane axed?(no longer on website)
Im guessing it will use same head lights, tail lights, basic interior etc. Rear boot garnish at the back, the front lights might be presented a little diffrently. More conservative grill... Some BA body/chassis improvements..
Maybe we will see the Turbo engine a option on the LWB.. Given its in a totally diffrent market to the XR6 etc..
The AU Fairlane's styling seems to be universally disliked, even more so than AUI Forte
but after hiring one for a week in Qld late last year, the looks began to grow on me, so I'm hoping they dont change it too much,
especially if its just going to look like a LWB Fairmont
Hahah, my bad, i knew it was somewhere around NC/NF
