tHE BA Fairlane boot is useless. ! The floor isn't flat,you have this pit in the middle. I travel a lot, and for packing suitcases, it is no good. Also, 80/20 split rear seat is pathetic, 60/40 split is more user friendly. Sales guy said that "the boot is like that because the fuel tank is under the back seat, for the export market"
Ford design a great car and stuff up the boot.
I like to have a dip in the boot of cars so i can put my shopping bags or whatever in it. Flat boots are annoying because everything rolls around everywhere.
I love the @#&% great hole !!!! My missus is in a wheel chair and it fits in nice and snug...no more rattles and bags from that area...and I can still fit plenty of shopping and/or luggage. If you did not like it you could alway get a piece of board and cover it??
When i first looked into he boot of my my XTV8 i said too.
But after a couple of shopping trips (400km round trip) i found that dip was great for stopping sh!t rolling around.
I also turn the spair wheel upside down as you can fit a small tool kit and first aid kit inside the 16in rim.
