BA Falcon (eGas) problems
My BA Falcon Wagon (eGas) was purchased last November.
Back to the dealer at 1,000km to fix the fuel guage (started showing full all the time).
Now at 10,000km it refused to start. NRMA patrol man diagnosed a faulty starter and arranged a tow. I then called the dealer and asked them when I would get the car back if it was brought to them in the next couple of hours.
They said they would have to diagnose the problem themselves, no problem/surprises with that. They also said that they may not have a starter in stock but would be able to get it and fit it before the end of the day.
Two hours later the car was delivered back to the dealer on a flat bed tow truck. Interesting reaction from people looking at new cars, and others in the service reception area.
I told them that I had phoned earlier and that I had been told that the car would be ready before the end of the day. The guy in the 'service' area took down my details including my mobile number and told me he would contact me. Not surprisingly I got no call from them. I called them just before closing and was told they had not finished diagnosing the problem but should be able to find some time tomorrow to look at it. So much for fixing the car before the end of the day.
I look forward to getting the car back. I'll keep you informed.
