FPV TURBO

Ok I started this thread a week or so ago and it go closed, but im still interested to see what people have done (NO PERSONAL OPINIONS WANTED PLEASE). This thread is to give others an idea about what they can do with their car!

What I have done includes the following..

:- AWC (Contact Falkeen for Price ) Colour Coded Airbox Cover with XR6 badge.
:- AWC Colour Coded Computer Box Cover
:- FPV Centre Caps for the XR 18" Rims Can't be ordered without FPV Vin... so no point in giving price.
:- Fairmont Ghia Boot Carpet and Clips $60
:- XR Red Floor Mats $70
:- XR Scuff Plates $26
:- XR6 Lower Grill $125
:- Footwell Lights (just needed Bulbs) $4
:- BA Spats $50 for 4
:- Headlight Covers $80
:- Foglight Covers $40
:- Alloy Pedals $200
:- Dash Mat $50
:- Bonnet Protector $80

Things that ill be getting in the future...
:- BA G220 Door inserts (same as GT but cheaper im assuming)
:- FPV steering wheel (depending on price)
:- Slimline Weathershields $65

I also ordered a Fairmont Ghia boot garnish ($150) but it required extra screw holes in the boot, which I wasn't willing to do.

Premium Sound fitted XR's have the bulb holders, the same as Fairmont Ghia....

Theres one on the left hand side up above the kickpanel and one on the right hand side up through the fuse box.

the fairmont boot thing you are talking about, is that the ugly chrome bits near the number plate? i have a strong personal opinion about them that i wont post because youve asked me not to.

I have a Narooma Blue XT with the following

-17" D&Z mags
-30mm lower spings
-Carbon Fibre bonnet with bulge

I'm looking around for nice sexy bumpers at the moment...

∙ Turbo grill badge
∙ Silver intercooler
∙ Lower/bumper grill
∙ 2nd air box intake with XR8 snorkel

...and that’s it.

I did get a set without a VIN number. They're around $82 EACH retail. I'd suggest you cultivate a good working relationship with someone at your dealer to get things like this.

You cannot buy the door inserts separately; believe me, I've tried, as I want the same extra piece you do. G220 ones actually match the silver strips on the XR dash, unlike the FPV carbon look ones, but you must buy an entire new door trim to get the part you want, and these are around $250 for EACH door.

As for the sports steering wheel (not the FPV one, though the only difference is the little FPV badge on the lower left spoke), dealers want $1000-$1200 from what I have heard. You can get it MUCH cheaper if you know where to look. A bit of patience on your part here can save you a lot of money...

Try the Fairmont (not Ghia) one. That is only replacing your standard one with a chrome unit.

Yeh i havent tried to get the door trims however I could get them out of the T series for my AU, took some work but it can be done Ill try my parts man just for a second opinion to see if it can be done! I also thought that the G220 ones would match the dash!

Heres some pics of my car FP Turbo. They were taken with my phone so they arent that clear.

I have taken a few with my digital camera but they were at night so they arent worth looking at.

I added them as attachments, i hope ive done it right.

they are only of the front to show the bonnet.

mmm now thats one NOICE BA XT mate!!

Like those rims, they really suit it. The bonnet also looks tops!
