BA Falcon stereo Problems

Does anyone know a way to make a BA falcon Stereo play mp3`s cos it steams that you can`t change the head unit with smashing out 3/4 of the dash..

You are out of luck....

Ford did not have the foresite to specify the unit had to support MP3 and unfortunately they cannot be converted. The best you can do is ugrade the unit to a six stacker if it is not already.

Alternately, you can purchase an AUX input lead from Ford which allows you to play an iPod or similar device through the unit.

Thanks for that info it is a pitty that ford didnt design the stereo so you could upgrade it like in most other cars I`ll have a look on the site you sent me.

I know you can get FM tranmittors for I-pods but i dont know how good they work

The only problem with the FM transmitters is the frequency response is limited to the frequency response of the FM band. ie approx 50-15KHz.

Unfortunately, that is lower than CD quality.
