I have a BA XT 02, which has had no real issues since i brought it 6 years ago, but in the last couple of days i have had some issues where when you start the car and let go of the key, the key returns to the off position, however if i slowly turn the key back once the car has started to its normal position the car will run fine and it will be no problems. Also if i turn the key to accessories it in most cases will turn back to off, but again if i do it gently all is ok, has any one had this issue before and fixed it?

Also the steering column does not lock when u take the keys out of the ignition and turn the wheel.

looks like you need a new ignition switch
