I've been hearing people talking about a GT power upgrade (don't know how real this is though). They reckon GT will go 320kW 560 - 570Nm because of the Typhoon... you know, keep the GT faster.
I was actually thinking about this issue too today. With 3 months till September i havnt heard one thing. Im guessing Ford are keeping this one quiet for now. Time will tell. GT to get 320kw? Not sure, This may be a result of what Herrod and Uncle Dick are doing. One thing for sure, The XR8 will get an increase, not alot though

So what's the Typhoon meant to do over the quarter ??

I'm more worried about when the BA2 will get here.
The VY came out roughly a month before the BA. Since there has been a VY2 and next month will see the launch of the new VZ. Ford always seems to be way too slow. Sure the VT-VX-VY-VZ are basicaly the same ****ing car, but they're improving on the last by around 5kW and other changes. If the BA2 comes out in September that is shocking, when the hell should we expect the all new Falcon? - We don't even know the code for it, yet we know the Holden equivelent has the VZ just arround the corner and the new VE about a year and a half away.
We need the BA2 out as soon as possible, so the the new Falcon (BB? AV?) development programme can get underway in full motion.
Ford needs to stop playing catch-up and start throwing some counter punches at Holden.

Why does ford need to 'bump-rev' the Falcon brand? Isn't it a more than adequate car as it is? I reckon so. Holden bumped out the VY2 with such monster updated because they were scare witless about the BA.
VZ == BA
The VY was behind the ball game as far as technology goes. The BA2 will be the concerning car as it is a midlife update against the all new VZ. BA2 will be out around September/October timeframe, when all the specials finish (the SR, classic, etc).
I think I heard someone else on the forums mentioning the "All new falcon" is codenamed copperhead ( or was it in a glossy that I read that). And is likely for 2006.
Personally with the lack of details that we are getting in regards to the BA2 I don't expect it to be much more than a facelift. I'm not expecting power to go up anymore, i'm not even expecting 6 speed manuals, though I am expecting a 5 or 6 speed auto.
