G'day all,
Thought I'd let you know about a common heater problem with the BA.Mine just stopped working last week.It was fixed on Tuesday the fault being a control arm coming adrift.Apparently this is common so make sure yours has plenty of use to test it out.
Cheers
My heater core has already been replaced under warranty, managed to drop all it's coolant, luckily for me I check my underbonnet every time I fill up.
Dealer at first said maybe it was because I had the heater and A/c on at the same time and it wasn't designed for that, I held my tongue and didn't refer him to sex and travel, and pointed out that this was how you demist windscreens in winter.
Spalding,
Can you please enlighten me on the heater core issue as it has the ability to totally destroy the engine. Fortunately I checked coolant levels and had to add 2 litres.
Fault is very easy to detect, put heater on full with car warmed up and if the smell doesn't convince you, the green coolant from the a/c drain will.
