Saw my first BA taxi today, looked tame, but still very nice, this is about 2 months after I saw one and the only one VY taxi in Melbourne M2489. I work for yellow cabs and at our depot we have a fleet of over 80 AU1,2,3 Taxis, the highest km car has just over 500,000 and still happily eating the kays away.

We are getting a few BA's soon seeing Ford has released the taxi pack now.

This co-incided with driving next to a nice BA XR6 and throughtout my travels I only saw 3 VY Commodores (1 police) out of 7 BA Falcons.

Yeah I saw my first BA taxi Friday night.

Only 500,000ks? I think just about every EL I have jumped into had at least 600,000 with the highest I have seen about 830,000k's. Certainly living up to the built ford tough name!

xr6 taxi?? damn, would actually make me feel happy forking over the money at the end of the trip!

oh and the highest mileage on a falcon that ive seen is 900 000+ kms thats on an early build au.

here in brisbane theyve had cabs as high as 1 000 000+ kms.

Saw a VY SS taxi cruising around the Holden plant last week. Can't wait to take a taxi ride in the equivalent Ford model! That would make a nice end to a night out...

Speaking of Built Ford Tough.

Had a ride in a NF Hirecar 960,000 kms since they bought it new according to the driver.

had every service, has only used one diff and 2 gearboxes. Motor is still going stong .

Now i would like to see a commodore / statesman do that. LMAO no chance.

Its a real shame for the Cab drivers to wreck such fine cars as the BA.

Wonder how the cars will be after 600,000 or so Kms
