When I first got my XR8 and filled it (I use PULP only), the DTE said 400kms. After a couple of thousand kays, I'd fill up & DTE said 350kms. I filled up yesterday & DTE said 307kms.
Damn adaptive learning stuff ;-)

Doesn't it calculate the DTE based on the current average usage rate though? I've seen the DTE climb for 100km on the highway after getting out of the city.
I drive a BA XR8 manual, On any sort of freeway driving I get approx 11 - 12 L/100k's. Peak hour I get about 17L/100k's. On average the tank gets 400 - 420 for 60 litres approx and that is using pulp. (when the wife drives it it gets alot better economy for some reason) I use this as my works car so I do anything from 400 - 800 k's a week.
I get around this average as well.
I always get better economy than my guy too... there might be something to that theory! I don't need to flog my car to show how beastly it is. Cruising does just fine. It's not often I feel like leaving half my tyre behind just to prove it's got guts.
Took the BA XR8 ute for day trip from Sydney to Taree and back via Gloucester... did about 1/3 of it as off freeway driving in and around the place and when we arrived home some 690 kays later it had averaged 11.6/100kms.
We cruised at the speed limit on the freeways, but I pedal up it on the open country roads and it runs mainly on Optimax but it's always 98 RON if I get it elsewhere.
I'm very happy with the highway efficiency considering I have a 96 Subaru Liberty wagon that runs on the same fuels and gets 9.7/100kms for the same trip and the engine is less than half the size at 2.2 L and the Ute is a sooo much better drive.
I have no idea what I get around town.. it doesn't interest me much as I know it will be heaps more than the long trips.. and standing on it at almost every chance doesn't help.. ;o)
I was getting around 19L/100 on Optimax
Swtiched to Mobile Synergy 8000 a couple of weeks ago and am getting 22L/100kms. Found myself going to the pump station more often too so that concurs with the dash readout.
hmmmmmmmmmm.

I usually get around 16-17 lt/100km's in my XR8 ute, i dont use it everyday so fuel bills arent that bad. Last year from melb-canberra i got 11.4 average and over 720 to the tank
Depends on how you want to drive it

The worst that i've had was 27L/100km, then again i've only done 1900km, it's now down to 19L/100km.
