The AU had some 'fail-safe' cooling system which allowed you to drive when the engine had lost its coolant, IIRC.... does the BA have any such system? If not, why? Problems?
Kappie, I don't believe the BA has the fail safe system, may have something to do with the new engine design. Reading the owners manual it states to stop the car and check for problems if the water level warning light comes on. So i would assume you can't drive it. Doesn't mention anything about continuing to drive.
Had a flick thru the manual last night, and it does apparently have 'fail-safe' cooling, but it's only really designed for short distances.. ie. until you find somewhere safe to pull over.
Yep, Failsafe cooling is on the Barra 6's but it's not on the E-Gas engine. It's also on the 220Kw 3 Valve V8, but NOT on the XR8 motor. Dunno about the Turbo, I guess it is.
