Ba window tinting

Hey fellas, to those of you who have had their windows tinted after market i have a few questions. I booked mine in at Sol-ace window tints here in sydney for monday and was told the darkest i can go is 35% as that is the darkest they make the non metalic film. Apparently only 1 brand available to. Does anyone know if its possible to get darker film without stuffing up the radio. What other companies are there in syd that do tinting, it's going to cost $3oo which i think is fair. Is 35% dark, my EF xr8 has dark dark windows i would presume 5o% as you can barley see through them and thats what i want again. Help.

35% is the darkest you can go legally. Sure you can get a lot darker at some companies but they'll get you to sign a waiver and you take the risk of getting a defect notice and big insurance worries. Personally i wouldn't risk it.

l have been told that if you have to side mirrors you could paint your rear window black and it would be legal as you would have the 2 side mirrors to see behind you

true. on sedans the driver and passenger window HAS to be 35% at the darkest. ALL other windows can be as dark as you please.
