HI All
Looking at getting a car bra for the XR6.
I went out west last week (north nsw) and the results were, well.......not very nice.
Probably close to 3000 (????) SPLATTERED grasshoppers, locusts (spelling?) all over the front of the car. And I wasn't even in the "plague" zone.
A good soaking and $12 at carlovers did the trick.
Now it just smells bad, dead grassy bug gut smell. Inside and out!

I can't get rid of it!!

Anyway. Does anyone have a car bra on their BA?
Any pics you can share with me.....Just need to see if I can talk the boss into it or I'll by it myself.

i have a bra on my XR8 BA ute, over easter was in the same region and went throught the plague. I can only say one thing. Bra's are the best. Got home, two minutes with some high pressure and the bra was clean. After removing it from the car there was not a bug in site, just some guts in the intakes from where it came through the mesh, radiator still looks brand new. If you want to get one make sure it is from Car Bra in Victoria, i have seen a couple of the copies and the fit is shit. I have some photos, will post soon if i have a chance.

Hi mate, i havnt got a BA, ive got an ED XR6, but ive had a bra for ages, and just got a new one for my new front Bumper.
They are great, just a hint when using them, put down a coat of wax before you put the bra on, just helps give that extra protection.
My new one cost me $352, and i had it in two days.

have a Car Bra car bra for my BA and, agree, they work real well in keeping the crap off on trips. This one does not fit as snug as one for my prev AUII XR6 but still does the job.

Car Bra do mail order over phone - saves some money cutting out the middle person. Note though that some small holes are to be drilled in plastic undertray and wheel arch mould to attach hooks for bra.

Of course, do not bother with it around town - why hide such a pretty face!
