Hi all. This is my first post here, so I hope I have the right forum.

Just wondering if there is a hack to the body control module (or whatever it is called in Ford speak) that will allow the auto down function on the power windows?

I doubt that Ford would use a different control box between the utes and the sedans, but they seem to use a different feature set, so my guess is that the function is in there somewhere, it just needs to be enabled.

On a similar tack, does anyone know where the boot release output appears on the box? I have a great idea about motorised hard ute cover releases to stop scratching the lid with the keys every time I need to get into the tray.

I have tested the remote key and the indicators flash if you short the boot release pads in the remote (no button as it is a ute), so I guess that the boot release output is there to be utilised.

i was thinking about that the other day, getting a sedan remote for my ute and coding it for my ute then replacing the locks in the hardlid with the electric kind they use on showcars with shaved handles and presto auto unlocking lid which locks when you close it again. just too lazy to get of my arse and do it really.

From my testing (very basic) all you would need is a remote from a sedan and swap the switch and the case (I guess that these would have little value at a wrecker) and you dont even need to program it.

Wouldnt mind the info on where the output is though.

Any Ford techs out there with a manual?
