Ba Xr8 Brake Squeak - Ford Forums - Mustang Forum, Ford Trucks, Ford Focus and Ford Cars

Subject has probably been done to death but anyway, my MkII with 8,000 clicks has this annoying squeak at very low speed - actually its been like that since 3,000 km's. Ford say must be the pads (no warranty on pads of course) and they are probably right. I have the XR8 premium package, and would love some kind soul suggesting a brand of pads that won't squeak.

No warranty on Pad wear, Yes, but how about dud pads.
If your car has been fitted with pads that squeel thay should be replaced...under warranty.

mines the same started at 3000k's been doing it ever since(14000k's)
Ford said "yeh well" typical reaction.
By the way I have premium package as well, you will find alot of BA's with squeeking brakes on the forums.

I upgraded my own XR8 brakes to DBA rotors and Bendix ultimate pads. Yes, they do squeak more and seem to make more dust too, but they stop well and the rotors don't shudder anymore. Unfortunately thats the trade off..
