I am after a bit of help, i want premium sound when i buy my new car. After reading through the forums im not sure what it actually includes, colour screen and 6 stacker. Now with the luxury interior package it has the Premium Interior Command Centre (ICC) thingy with lcd screen now is this different to the premium sound screen or is it the same unit. In the interior package it also states that it has full XR sports instrumentation with graphic blue backlit illumination now i thought this was standard on all Xr8's or am i wrong again. Please help ill be signing for my car by the end of this coming week and really need to know the differences.

Your dealer will have all details or by a Ute and it wont be a problem lol...
send a PM or ask the Ratt he would know 100%..

Didnt have them options it was prestige sound that was it...wich was a 6 stack cd player and 4 speakers with 2 tweeters we piad extra $600 for that, no choice on the screen..

Premium sound has the color screen, 6 stacker, tweeters in the a pillars and the amp and subbie which is in the parcel shelf. Blue instuments are included on all XR's and the Luxury interior package has the same stereo set up and the same screen, but the layout is a bit different as it has the trip computer and climate control functions on the screen that the standard premium sound screen doesn't have.

Thanks for that mate, so basically the luxury interiour package isn't worth the extra $5,ooo. The only thing it offers is trip computer in the colour screen.

Luxury Pack $4595 gives you

1. Premium Sound $985
2. Sports Leather $2495
3. Dual Zone Climate Control with Trip computer fucntions (no different to having it on the dashboard like the standard XR8).
4. Automatic Headlights
5. Fairmont Ghia Clock

If I was buying one id probarly just get the Premium Sound, they already come standard with the Six Stack Indash now tho and the 18 inch rims.

The only thing that temps me is the sports leather seats dont care for the climate control or the clock. Auto off headlights are standaed on MKII i think. But if i get this option there goes a good chunk of what i was going to spend on mods so premium sound it is.

If you dont want the sports leather , just option the premium sound, and the 18's come standard now.
