BA xr8 MKII Clutch & Gearbox

Just after some info in regards to the new 6 speed and its clutch setup. Does anyone know how strong the new clutch is going to be, how hard would it be to get the clutch out of a typhoon. Could we just go to a FPV dealer and get them to fit it.

Re: BA xr8 MKII Clutch & Gearbox

Not all that long ago my clutch went on my BA XR8 UTE with only 36000km. I rang around even an FPV dealer asking if i could put a GT-P clutch kit in. The dealer had told me that it's the same one used in the XR8 and XR6T range.

The Typhoon clutch kit might be different. I put in a Daiken clutch for $660 and it's working really well so far.

Just ask around mate.....

Yea the typhoon gets a dual plate clutch as of MKII to go with the 6 speed box. Just need to know how strong the original is and how storng the typhoon one will be.

Dual plate had gotta be better than a single. I'll put one in if i knew that. Know it all comes down to the $$$.

Good luck with it......
