BA XR8 Run-in Oil

Hi All,

I've organised an oil-change as part of the pre-delivery to clean-out production crud and so I can provide my own oil for the run-in period.

Can anybody recommend a good mineral oil that meets, or is equivalent to, the 10w-30 Mobil1 synthetic?

Mobil's global page lists what appears to be an equivalent mineral version but I can't find anything on the local page.

Recommendations anyone?

Thanks,

Jason

Re: BA XR8 Run-in Oil

I am using an O-Tech mineral Premium 10w-30 for my running in. Comes in 20l and is reasonably priced, and I was told was formulated for high performance V8's.

Thanks for that! Where'd you get it from?

Re: BA XR8 Run-in Oil

Jason,

Just use a good quality 10w-30 oil, you should change it every 3,000miles/5,000 k's, so just get a good quality Mobil, Shell, any good brand name one.

cheers
