hi guys,
was wondering if you guys could please post all the images u can find of BA XRs WITHOUT rear spoilers.
also....what are your opinions...and how is the best way to do it
is there big holes in the bootlid that stand out like dogs balls after? if so, how would you go about covering them up?
There is a BA XR6 in white without a rear spoiler at my dealers car yard (Jarvis Ford). It has GT blue stripes on the side with 18" aftermarket deep dish alloys with 275 wide rubber at the rears (245 at front). There is no badges with XR6 anywhere, just the usual Ford logo's.
Normally I wouldn't go for this sort of thing but I have to say it looks bloody good and has been really well done IMO. Without the rear spoiler in white with the stripes gives it a little 'coupe' like appearance. Don't ask me why, but if this interest you I will see if I can grap some pictures of it.
Someone on the forums has done this, Its a Blood Orange XR8 thats been heavily lowered and i think has BA GT wheels i think his name was Kodar but i dont know what his username was

If you remove the spoiler from your standard XR bootlid you'll find 2 bolt holes (one slightly elongated) and on the drivers side a 3rd hole where the wiring for the high mounted brake light goes into the loom.
If you do remove the spoiler, apart from replacing the bootlide or filling the holes, you'll also have to rewire the brakelight in the rear window to work again like it does in XT/Futura/Fairmont.
