Re: The Beast is fixed!!!
Do you guys know my Dad or something? He he. Yeah, I bet he has something up his sleeve, like a new T or something.... Ha ha.
Well, with the new clutch, which is really weird, I will be ready for him this time! I told him I only let him win that day coz it was his birthday - he he. Didnt believe me though.... Cheeky bugger. :)))
As for the car and the service, yeah it was better than expected. I am fairly used to being treated like a stupid female, or as if the car is my hubby's or something.... The guys there were actually really good - they took the time to chat, they rang me 5 times a day at work with updates on how it was going, they let me have the loan car for free the whole time, and they appeared to have done a pretty good job - which is what counts at the end of the day. They even found some stuff that I didnt know about and fixed it all, so that was cool.
The clutch is really light though, for some reason - like REALLY light. And there is a lot of travel to get it to engage, so it is like learning to drive it all over again! Very strange, but not terribly bad - I am just curious as to why it is so much lighter than the previous one ever was.... They were concerned about it too, and rang me about it - they tested it pretty thoroughly, and found nothing wrong with it so I guess it is just the way it is....
They were even really good about the chip issue - which they did find out about, despite the fact I had it removed before I took it down there. They told me they knew about it and couldnt care less coz they send people up to my guys to get chips anyway, and they sell Herrod modified cars anyway...
Tomorrow the chip gets put back in, it will be re-dynoed coz it probably had lost a fair bit of power even before the chip was in.... and there will only be one thing left to do....DAD, where are you? He he.
Oh, on a side note, when I went to pick it up last night, there was a guy there picking up his Venom AU XR6 with his g/f..... the service guy was telling them all the stuff they had done to it.. and the g/f was standing there making all these comments about how Ford are crap, how he should have bought a Holden, etc, etc..... the service guy and the owner were just smiling and rolling their eyes..... Just thought that was funny!
